Clean the Block

Clean the Block is a monthly community cleanup initiative committed to restoring pride and cleanliness in Houston neighborhoods, especially Sunnyside. Our cleanups take place from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, where volunteers come together to remove illegal dumping, trash, and debris from streets, sidewalks, and vacant lots.

They provide everything needed to make an impact—trash cans, trash bags, gloves, tools, and equipment—and we haul all collected waste to the nearest waste management center. Our mission is to inspire change through action, proving that when we take care of our blocks, we uplift our entire community—one cleanup at a time.

If you aren't able to join but would still like to contribute, donations are helpful so we can continue to provide supplies and tools necessary for a successful clean.
